The park features a unique cave system that you can explore through guided tours. The park itself also offers beautiful hiking trails, picnic spots and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors. Kalahari Resorts Round Rock Whether you go for a day or make it a staycation, Kalahari Resorts Round Rock should be at the top of your spring break to-do list. You can purchase day passes to the resort’s indoor and outdoor water park. The 223,000-square-foot park is packed with things to do, including water slides, a wave simulator, lazy river and lagoon. There’s even a swim-up bar for grown-ups. Old Settlers Park Round Rock’s crown jewel, the 645-acre Old Settlers Park boasts Champion Fields, where you’ll find 20 baseball fields, five softball fields, 18 batting cages, shaded seating, and warm-up areas as well as an 18-hole disc golf course, two football fields, 12 tennis courts, five soccer fields with restroom/concession, sand volleyball courts, cricket space and cross-country courses. SXSW Conference Whether you’re a film buff, tech geek, music aficionado or want to network within your industry, the annual SXSW Conference is for you. The convergence of tech, film and television, music, education and culture runs March 7-15 and features sessions, music and comedy showcases, film and TV screenings, exhibitions, professional development and a variety of networking opportunities. Austin Rodeo Saddle up for the Austin Rodeo March 14-29. Established in 1938 as a stock show featuring 16 animals, the annual event is now one of Austin’s premiere celebrations offering concerts, livestock shows, shopping, dining, carnival rides and, of course, the rodeo. Austin Up for a day trip? Austin isn’t far from Georgetown. Hike along the leafy 10-mile Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail at Lady Bird Lake. Swim at the historic Barton Springs Pool. Zilker Park offers the Zilker Botanical Garden, Umlauf Sculpture Garden, Austin Nature and Science Center and Zilker Hillside Theater.
