Woodforest Hits 1,000-Resident Milestone

The Woodforest Development team recently unveiled a newly updated population sign in the community touting more than 1,000 residents.

“It was quite a change from the first sign we put up more than two years ago, when we had only 85 residents,” said Virgil Yoakum, general manager of Woodforest.

The population growth has been fueled by record-breaking new-home sales this year that are 140 percent more than last year’s pace.

“We expect this momentum to continue,” Yoakum said. “We have approximately 100 homesites still scheduled to be delivered by the end of the year and more than 200 properties planned for the first quarter of 2013.”
