Cross Creek Ranch - Cross Creek Ranch opens new custom home neighborhood

January 13, 2014

Fresh off another year as one of the nation's top-selling master-planned communities, the west Houston master-planned community of Cross Creek Ranch has opened its most exclusive, custom home neighborhood, Heron Lakes, with homes on large, waterfront and water-view home sites from the $580,000s.

Heron Lakes will present homes with custom features from Avanti Custom Homes by Trendmaker, Darling Homes, Huntington Homes (a division of Highland Homes) and Partners in Building.

The Huntington Homes model is now open while Avanti Custom Homes by Trendmaker will open its model by the end of January. Darling Homes and Partners in Building will open their models soon.

Each of the builder's models is exclusive to Cross Creek Ranch, where homeowners can customize proven floor plans to suit their lifestyle.

"With its easy in-town commute, amenities and Katy ISD schools, Cross Creek Ranch is the ideal setting for these new custom homes," said Shannon Vining, marketing manager for Darling Homes. "They're perfect for growing families looking for a spacious home."

The Darling Homes model is a brand-new floor plan designed exclusively for Cross Creek Ranch. This home includes five bedrooms, a downstairs media room, an upstairs studio with private entrance, a mud room and study with floor-to-ceiling windows. Its design features include vaulted ceilings, an outdoor courtyard for entertaining and high-end finishes throughout the home.

The custom home model from Avanti Custom Homes by Trendmaker will present a stucco, stone and brick exterior offered for the first time with a longer-lasting, tiled roof available in an array of colors, making it easy to coordinate the roof's colors with the home's exterior. It offers five bedrooms, an open floor plan ideal for entertaining, two gamerooms, a two-story stone fireplace, floating staircase and a downstairs guest bedroom with its own bathroom.

The 5,225-square-foot model from Huntington Homes is a two-story, five-bedroom, five full bath, powder bath and pool bath, stucco and stone exterior masterpiece featuring a library, wine room with wet bar, gameroom, card room, media room and mud room. It also offers a cobblestone courtyard with central fireplace in the front entryway and oversized rear covered patio with rotisserie grill.

The Partners in Building model is a 5,236-square-foot plan with five bedrooms, 3.5 baths downstairs and 3.5 baths upstairs, a formal dining room, study, gameroom, media room and several unique spaces. High-end features include a wine room adjacent to the dining room, a butler's pantry and a home office space next to the kitchen. A large outdoor living area includes a summer kitchen and fireplace.

Families in Cross Creek Ranch enjoy amenities including the Cross Creek Ranch Adventure Island Water Park, a second resort-style pool, Flewellen Creek Park, miles of hike-and-bike trails along with winding creeks and lakes, a fitness center and sports complex with tennis courts, basketball court, sand volleyball court and playgrounds for all ages. The community also is home to the Flewellen Creek disc golf course and a one-acre Canine Commons Dog Park.

A project of The Johnson Development Corp., Cross Creek Ranch offers "sustainable" living; More than 30,000 trees have been planted since 2006. Moreover, close to half of its 1,300 homes are adjacent to native naturalized landscape, designated trails and parks.

The community's efforts have been recognized with the Houston-Galveston Area Council's Parks and Natural Areas Award for the restoration of Flewellen Creek and the Quality Development Award as presented by the West Houston Association.
