Fort Bend Parkway extension to Sienna Plantation is now completeMarch 31, 2014
After two years of construction, the extension of the Fort Bend Parkway Toll Road has finally reached Sienna Parkway, thereby providing Sienna Plantation residents with the ease and convenience of toll road access directly from the master-planned community all the way to U.S. Highway 90A, just minutes from the downtown Houston and the Texas Medical Center. The completed extension of the EZ tag-only Fort Bend Parkway from Highway 6 to Sienna Parkway is expected to reduce drive times from Sienna Plantation to points in Houston by 10-15 minutes, according to Sienna Plantation General Manager Alvin San Miguel. “The direct access to major employment corridors provided by the extended Fort Bend Parkway right from Sienna Plantation will be a major selling point as we continue to develop the community,” says San Miguel. The completion of the extended Fort Bend Parkway Toll Road follows the announcement by The Johnson Development Corp. to develop additional land for the continuation of Sienna Plantation. Development of the 3,700-acre parcel, with forested areas, lakes, streams and open spaces, will begin this summer with the first homesites projected for availability by spring of 2015. Sienna Plantation, a community by The Johnson Development Corp., recently ranked #17 among the nation’s top-20 selling master-planned community, according to John Burns Real Estate Consulting.
