The Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center may not be open yet but it’s already making its presence felt in the community.
For the next two weeks, the center staff will be visiting five elementary schools and two apartment complexes in Richmond and Rosenberg.
It will bring hands-on, educational activities focusing on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) to children.
“We want to show the community that we are working and making an impact even if the building for the FBCDC isn’t open yet,” said Tracy Golden, the center’s capital campaign manager.
The following are the /days dates the center will be coming to west Fort Bend County:
- Wednesday — Meyer Elementary
- Monday, July 14 — Seguin Elementary
- Tuesday, July 15 — Victoria Gardens Apartments
- Wednesday, July 16 — Falcon Points’ Apartments
- Monday, July 21 — Taylor Ray Elementary
The museum staff will arrive at each site at 11 a.m.
