Harmony - Harmony Offers a Duet of Free Events During Houston's Largest Home TourMarch 28, 2016
A duet of free, fun events marks the participation of master-planned community Harmony in Houston’s Largest Home Tour this April. The month-long home tour, sponsored by Johnson Development Corp., opens the doors to hundreds of homes — including 120 models — throughout 11 of its well-appointed communities. Visitors will be able to tour the homes, pick up decorating ideas and experience resident-only events planned by the communities’ dedicated lifestyle directors. One such event takes place from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 9, when Harmony debuts its first open-air concert. Open to the public, the free event features artists Amy Andrews, DeDe & the Daydreams and headliner the Cody Bryan Band. In addition to music, the day-long festivities include oversized lawn games of tic-tac-toe and ring toss, the Corn Hole bean bag board game, face painters, a balloon artist and a kite-making station. Cousins Maine Lobster, Cajanos and other food trucks will be on hand. The first 100 concert families will receive a free picnic blanket. During the home tour, Harmony’s 13 professionally decorated model homes will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays. The community will host special trolley tours of the homes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, April 23. The tour offers light refreshments and fun activities in models. Visitors can jump on the trolley in Harmony at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3591 Discovery Creek. Harmony, a 1,000-acre community in north Houston is just five miles east of Interstate 45 near the new ExxonMobil campus, with direct access to the Grand Parkway. Other master-planned communities with models to tour are Riverstone, Sienna Plantation, Harvest Green and Imperial in Fort Bend County, Woodforest and Grand Central Park in South Montgomery County, Tuscan Lakes and Edgewater in the Bay Area, Fall Creek in northeast Houston and Cross Creek Ranch and Willow Creek Farms in west Houston. Houston’s Largest Home Tour also features three new Johnson Development communities — Grand Central Park in Conroe, Jordan Ranch in Fulshear and Veranda in Richmond.
