Harvest Green - Discover What's Growing On at the Smart Financial CentreJanuary 22, 2017
Just a hop, skip and a jump from Harvest Green, the crown jewel of Sugar Land’s myriad attractions — the Smart Financial Centre — is open for business and already attracting top musical and theatrical acts. Back-to-back, sold-out Jerry Seinfeld shows opened the 200,000-square-foot, $84-million project Jan. 14. An upcoming performance by Reba McEntire also is sold out, but indicative of the star power the public can look forward to seeing as the venue matures. Tickets for Sting’s 57th & 9th Tour, The Lumineers and Billy Crystal are still available. Throughout the year, residents also will have opportunities to see Dancing With The Stars Live, The Illusionists - Live From Broadway, Tony Bennet and Kristin Chenoweth. Designed to set a new standard for live performance venues, the Smart Financial Centre is a state-of-the-art, indoor climate-controlled complex featuring innovative moveable walls that can expand and contract to create four different seating capacities that range from an intimate setting of 3,000 seats to a maximum of 6,400. The venue also offers 14 luxury suites, a corporate hospitality area and more than 2,500 guest parking spaces. The venue is located less than 20 minutes away from Harvest Green along U.S. 59 and University Boulevard in Sugar Land, giving Harvest Green residents plenty of time to catch a pre-performance meal or a post-performance cocktail at Sugar Land Town Square. Other nearby Sugar Land attractions include Constellation Field — the home of the championship Sugar Land Skeeters — Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center, First Colony Mall and the Sugar Land Ice & Sports Center. Within the community, Harvest Green residents enjoy fresh produce grown on the community’s farms, as well as lakes, streams and open spaces. A planned amenity center is slated to open this spring and will feature a resort-style pool, amphitheater, state-of-the-art fitness center and event lawn. Homes are priced from the $240,000s.
