When it comes to the ‘burbs, Sugar Land has it all according to Niche.com, which ranked it one of the top 10 suburbs to live in Texas. Home to master-planned Imperial, Sugar Land ranked No.9 on the well-known neighborhood online review site’s 2017 list based on cost of living, quality of schools, job opportunities, low crime rate and local amenities. Niche.com notes that the median household income of residents is a very comfortable $105,000 per year — double the national average. The median home value in Sugar Land is $267,700 with 82 percent of residents owning their own homes. The site awarded the Fort Bend community an “A+” grades for its schools, diversity, job opportunities and family lifestyle.
