Cross Creek Ranch - Who Will Take the Gold at Scarecrow Fest Oct. 21?October 08, 2017
The torch has been lit for the 2017 “Scarecrowlympics” —or maybe not, we are talking straw champions here — this year’s theme for the popular scarecrow decorating contest at the Fulshear Scarecrow Festival, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, in Cross Creek Ranch, 6450 Cross Creek Bend Lane. Creative teams and individuals are going all out decorating scarecrows with football helmets, ski pants and hockey masks to craft gold medal worthy champions. The winner will take home $1,000. The silver medalist will receive $500 and the bronze medal winner will get $250. Visitors will be able to cast their votes at our new Best of Living tent, where prospective homebuyers can meet with award-winning builders in Cross Creek Ranch and see the spectrum of floor plans, architectural styles, incentives and upgrades available. Olympic-worthy activities during the accompanying carnival will thrill families with carnival rides, live music, Dock Dogs performances, face painting, moonwalks, balloon artists and more. Food trucks including 006 Pizza, Anaya's Greek Food, Bahama Buck's Shaved Ice, Baked Potato Truck, Curbside Sliderz of Katy, FrioHana Ice, Italian Maid Café. Southern Ice Cream Truck and The Crepe Machine Food Truck will be serving up a variety of menu items to hungry revelers. The festival is free and open to the public; however, all-day carnival tickets are $10 per person for unlimited rides, sponsored by BMW of West Houston. Proceeds benefit Arts Fulshear and the Texana Center. |
