Harvest Green - It's Almost Here - Harvest Fest 2017!

Everyone from our residents to our resident chickens is getting excited for the return of Harvest Fest on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

We held our first Harvest Fest last fall, and it was amazing. So amazing, in fact, that it was a finalist for the Greater Houston Builder Association Event of the Year - Developer at the annual Houston’s Best PRISM awards. Which is really cool, but we do it for the fun (and the food, definitely for the food) not the glory. 

This year’s free celebration promises to be even better, so stop by our model home village at 618 Vineyard Hollow Court where we will be holding a large farmers market featuring our own Harvest Green Veggie Wagon, which you can browse while dancing to tunes spun by a DJ. We also will have a pumpkin patch, a rock wall, animal adoptions and farm tours.

During the tours, you can learn more about growing Thanksgiving staples — such as pumpkin, corn and squash — then take pictures of the family alongside our tractors (we swear, it makes for a great holiday card). Children will enjoy a meet and greet with friendly chickens and our famous goats (also makes for a great holiday card).

Other activities include pumpkin decorating for kids, bouncy houses, face painters, balloon artists, a pie-eating contest and harvest games such as bobbing for apples and searching for needles in a haystack.

Fall favorites such as kettle corn and candy apples will be available for purchase as will a mix of dining options presented by local food trucks. Renegade Kitchen Food Truck will offer a special fall favorite menu that includes turkey legs and roasted corn. Additional food trucks will include Hangreek, Wileys Tacos, Craft Burger Bus, The Cuban Spot, Cousins Maine Lobster and The Cool Bus. If you are aged 21 and up, there will be wine, beer and cider available for purchase. It will be a full day of fun for everyone, so don’t miss out on OUR favorite event of the year, Harvest Fest!
