Trinity Falls - 3 Exercises You Can Do OutdoorsAugust 28, 2015
With over 450-acres of open space throughout the Trinity Falls community, and over 20 miles of interconnecting hike and bike trails, there's no excuse to not get out and exercise. By getting out of the gym and getting outdoors, not only will you boost your calorie burn, you'll also workout muscles you wouldn't be able to on machines! Park Bench Step Ups For this easy exercise, simply find a park bench and stand on top of it. Keeping one foot on the bench, step up and down the other foot, bringing your leg to your chest each time. Then alternate with the other leg. Repeat this 20 times for a leg workout that will create some great results.
Nature Pull Up Find a horizontal branch that's a good distance above your head. Jump up to reach it and hang on tight. Then, use your arm muscles to life your head above the branch, and then slowly ease back down. This might be easier with gloves depending on the tree type. Do as many as you can.
Leapfrog Burpee Grab a neighbor and hit the trails – these leapfrog burpees are exactly what they sound like! Choose a level, open area and have your partner bend over. Pick a spot in the distance and focus on it while leaping over your partner's back. You're your leg muscles to spring off the ground and land in a squatted position. Alternate doing this for 60 seconds and see how many you can get done!
Whichever exercise you choose, we know you'll love being out and about at Trinity Falls in McKinney, TX. |
