Trinity Falls - 3 Simple Recipes for Labor Day in Trinity FallsSeptember 04, 2015
Today is the start of Labor Day weekend and for many families here in Trinity Falls, that means added time with friends and your little ones. If you're thinking about hosting a cookout, these 3 simple recipes have got to make your menu. Did we mention this is a great time to meet the neighbors.
Classic Deviled Eggs Whether you're going to a picnic, cheering on your favorite home team or entertaining during a party, classic deviled eggs are a must have. While they make look complex, the recipe could not be simpler. To get started, boil 6 eggs until hard-cooked. Allow the eggs to cool, peel them and then cut them in half lengthwise. Using a spoon, remove the yolks and place them in a bowl. Mash the yolks with a fork; then, add ¼ cup mayonnaise and 3 tablespoons of pickle relish. For added tang, place a few squirts of mustard into the mixture as well. Stir to combine and then fill the reserved egg whites with the mix. Top with paprika to make them look extra fancy!
Six Layer Dip Seven-layer dip just seems like too much work, so why not make it six? Skip all the hard work and head straight to the prepared section of your favorite grocery store. There's no need to be fancy here. Choose your favorite "Mexican" sides like refried beans, sour cream, corn and more! Then use a baking dish to spread even layers of the sides on top of each other and serve with chips! This recipe is sure to have people flooding into your new McKinney home in no time.
Cucumber Salad Nothing is quite as refreshing as a marinated cucumber salad. In a small bowl, mix ½ cup sugar with 1 ½ cup vinegar, a dash of garlic, 3 tablespoons of chopped fresh dill and a pinch of salt. This is the base of your marinade. Combine the sauce with 8 cups of thinly sliced cucumbers and marinate overnight. Then, viola! It's served.
We hope these three simple recipes help make your Labor Day in Trinity Falls one to remember! If you're thinking about moving to our master-planned community, be sure to take a look at our renowned homebuilders in McKinney. |
