Trinity Falls - Top Foods To Try At The State Fair Of Texas 2015September 25, 2015
Everyone in the Lone Star State is excited about the State Fair of Texas, especially in our neck of the woods. With all of the amenities in our DFW master-planned community located near the booming Plano, Allen, and Frisco and in Money Magazines #1 Best Place to Live McKinney, there aren't many reasons to wander too far from Trinity Falls – but the State Fair always gets us out of the house! North Texas waits patiently all year for the sights and sounds of the Fair. Our appetites were especially peaked when we heard about the new additions to the food and drink lineup! Below are Trinity Falls' can't-miss picks for the 2015 State Fair of Texas. Fernie's Holy Moly Carrot Cake Roly Get ready for delicious decadence – this traditional dessert has been transformed into a new delicious treat. First, carrot cake, raisins and julienned carrots are baked into golden cinnamon-swirled bread. Next, this baked beauty is rolled with a cream cheese coating and breaded with panko, graham crackers, cinnamon, spice and "everything nice." It's sure to satisfy every appetite! Smoky Bacon Margarita Everyone likes bacon, right? Well, that's the concept behind this year's adult beverage. This smoky spin on the traditional margarita is surprisingly smooth. The typically tangy, sometimes sour beverage is lightly accented with the bacon's smoky flavors and has become a fan favorite! Chicken Fried Lobster with Champagne Gravy This is a first, ladies and gentlemen: a lobster dish has made its way onto the State Fair menu! Sticking with the "deep fried" theme for cuisine, an entire lobster is taken and deep dried to perfection. Topped with a rich and creamy sauce that has both lemon butter and champagne gravy, you're sure to fall in love. It's the perfect combination of fried and fancy flavors! Pretzel-Crusted Pollo Queso Pretzels? Good. Cheese? Good. Chicken? Good. All three mixed into one delicious bite? Amazing. Shredded chicken, cream cheese, Monterrey jack cheese, bacon, cilantro and Sriracha sauce are all rolled into a ball breaded in a pretzel, then deep fried to golden perfection. We hope you give one of these treats a try at the State Fair of Texas and come back to our master-planned community with a full stomach of delicious food! |
