Mundo MayaThe eight-story Mundo Maya exhibit brings the culture of the Maya to life in this immersion exhibit. There is a 400,000-gallon walk-through Cenote exhibit filled with sharks, rays and sea turtles that are from the Yucatan Peninsula. Some other animals you can expect to see include the black and white hawk eagle, axolotl and the longsnout seahorse. OrinocoShowcasing the unique bio-diversity of the South American rainforest, the seven-story Orinoco Secrets of the River exhibit features animals that are rarely seen in the wild. A few of the beautifully strange creatures you can learn about include the Hoffman's two-toed sloth, the Andean cock-of-the-rock and the red howler monkey. AquariumExplore under the sea as you walk through the 20,000-gallon walk-through tunnel in the main aquarium. The aquarium is home to hundreds of fish and other aquatic life including the leafy seadragon, giant clams and a giant Pacific octopus. South AfricaSince the South Africa exhibit is outdoors, it's liveliest during the summer months, but black-footed penguins and shoebill storks will greet visitors all year long! Some of the other unique inhabitants of this exhibit are the panther chameleon and the great blue turaco. BorneoBefore you even get to the admissions booth, you'll walk on a winding path through the Wilds of Borneo exhibit. Some of the unique animals in this exhibit include the palm cockatoo, the matschie's tree kangaroo and the rhinoceros hornbill.
