Harvest Green - What is an Agrihood?

People talk about Harvest Green being Houston’s first “agrihood” (we prefer the word farm-centric or just plain farm-tastic, if we are being honest), but what does that mean?

 An agrihood is just what it sounds like — a community that has agriculture as one of its components. In our case, it is our 12-acre Village Farm, which provides residents with tasty vegetables, educates them about sustainability, provides opportunities to interact with our professional farmers and even gives them the tools to grow their own food.
