Harvest Green - Harvest Green is Sowing Happiness This AprilMarch 28, 2019
Click here to get directions to our pop-up art experience! Harvest Green will bloom with activity this April during Houston’s Largest Home Tour. First up is a “paw-some” event — Pilates, Pints and Pups 3-5 p.m. Sunday, April 7. A 60-minute Pilates class at the Farmhouse, 3400 Harvest Corner Drive, will be followed by a “yappy hour” from 4-5 p.m. with beer from Eureka Heights Brewing Company and puppies from Pup Squad Animal Rescue. You don’t have to take the class, which costs $15 (free for residents), to play with the pups but if you do, you get to take home a custom Harvest Green pint glass! Later in the month, visitors can indulge in Louisiana art, music and culture at Cajun & Crawfish 2-6 p.m. April 28 at the Farmhouse. Local artists will create art during the event and event-goers can purchase crawfish and traditional sides from Southern Select Crawfish. Renegade Kitchen & Catering will serve up classic Creole cooking. RaaRaaZydeco will perform live. The Contemporary Art Museum Fort Bend is co-hosting the event. And while we’re dishing up extra events in April, the weekly farmers markets will continue. Held 8 a.m. to noon each Saturday at 8939 Harlem Road in the community, the market features fresh-picked produce from the Village Farm as well as a variety of other food and gift items. Everything sold in the market is either grown or made by the seller. Also during April, we’re adding a few farm animals to our collection — but these will be unlike any you’ve seen before. A herd of 10 artistic and colorful cows are being permanently installed in the community. We invite everyone to come take a look, take a photo and enjoy. See where they are here. The art of home décor will be on display in 12 community model homes, which showcase home designs from the $240,000s to nearly $600,000. Even more inventory homes will be open for touring. Homes will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays. Admission to Houston’s Largest Home Tour is free.
