Cross Creek Ranch - Who is the Community of the Year? We Are!August 12, 2019
We’ve always thought of ourselves as a stellar community. The Texas Association of Builders’ (TAB) must agree because they recently named us Community of the Year at the 2019 Star Awards. The prestigious awards program recognizes leading builders, remodelers, architects, designers, sales professionals, marketing professionals and construction professionals across Texas and surrounding areas. Companies submitted 574 entries into this year’s competition, with winners announced during the Sunbelt Builders Show™. It’s always gratifying to have our hard work recognized by our peers. This year has been an exceptionally busy one for Cross Creek Ranch as we seek to make life even better for our residents. We welcomed a new Katy ISD junior high — Adams Junior High School — to the community. Our new Katy ISD high school is currently under construction and is slated to open next year. Also, on the new school front is the recent opening of Roberts Middle School by Lamar CISD located just two minutes away from Cross Creek Ranch. We will be getting more shopping and service options now that Cross Creek Town Center has broken ground. Shops will open next spring and 50 percent of the retail center has already been leased. Access to and from the community is being enhanced with the expansion of FM 1093 and the start of construction of Texas Heritage Parkway that should happen this fall. On top of that, our builders sold more than 320 homes in the development so far — a 10 percent increase. We moved up four places to No. 21 on a mid-year report by Robert Charles Lesser & Co. of the nation’s top-selling master-planned communities. We weren’t the only Johnson Development community to receive an award. It was one of eight trophies received by our sister communities during the ceremony. Other communities won for marketing efforts, best poolscape and best event. Johnson Development won the most Star Awards than any other developer in the nation. We thank TAB for this honor! |
