5 Johnson Development Communities Land on National Best-Selling ListJanuary 10, 2020
For a sixth consecutive year, Johnson Development has had more communities listed among the nation’s top-selling, with five communities ranked among the best-selling developments in the country in this year’s report by Robert Charles Lesser & Co. (RCLCO). The developer has had more communities ranked among the nation’s best-selling over the past decade than any other developer in the nation. Three of the communities ranked in the top 25 developments. Sienna in Missouri City was listed at No. 20 with 517 new-home sales in 2019, Cross Creek Ranch in Fulshear ranked No. 22 with builders selling 484 new homes last year and the Spring community of Harmony landed at No. 23 with 481 new-home sales reported. “A broad range of sizes, styles and prices are essential to sales success in master-planned communities,” said Larry Johnson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Johnson Development. “That has always been a part of our vision for community development, coupled with remarkable lifestyle programming, access to great schools and convenient locations. Year after year, home sales success has indicated that this is a winning approach. Harvest Green and Woodforest both made the list with 356 new-home sales each. Woodforest is in Montgomery County and has a beautiful forested environment. Houston’s first community built around an active farm, Harvest Green is located in Richmond and has received phenomenal interest from families wanting to be in this unique agricultural setting. A sixth Johnson Development community, Riverstone in Fort Bend County, was ranked among the nation’s best-selling communities of the decade with four appearances on the annual RCLCO list. Riverstone, which is nearing the end of development, last appeared on the list of the 50 top-selling communities in 2019. Builders sold 264 homes in the community last year. Johnson Development has had more top-selling communities in the nation than any other developer since 2014. These five Johnson communities accounted for more than 50 percent of the Houston-area developments listed on RCLCO’s ranking of the 2019 top-selling master-planned communities. Now in its 43rd year of development, Johnson Development has 19 active communities — 15 in the Houston area, two in Dallas-Fort Worth, one in the Austin area and one in Atlanta. These communities are located on 47,500 acres and have entitlements to build more than 80,000 residential units and 16.7 million square feet of commercial and retail space. |
