Cross Creek Ranch - Living in Cross Creek Ranch Fuels Home Sales for Top-Selling DuoAugust 23, 2020
Connie Hofer and Serene Wong know it’s easy to sell something they love — and they love Cross Creek Ranch. So much so, they are both residents. Hofer, who is a Newmark Homes sales professional in Cross Creek Ranch, started selling in the community before she started living there. “I was one of the first salespeople out here,” said Hofer, who began selling homes in Cross Creek Ranch in 2008. “We moved out here in 2009 because we saw so much potential. The warmth of the community evident then is still something you feel today.” Hofer estimates she has helped around 400 homeowners settle into Cross Creek Ranch during her long tenure; last year, she sold 47 new homes in the community, enough to earn her the title of top-selling builder sales representative. “One of the things that stands out about Cross Creek Ranch is the kindness of the people living here,” she said. “You know your neighbors and your neighbors become friends. And because people know I live here, they understand it’s not a sales pitch.” Hofer is continuing last year’s success in a new neighborhood in Cross Creek Ranch, selling homes designed for 45-foot properties and ranging from 1,400 to 2,600 square feet. Pricing is from the $270,000s. Wong, a Realtor with Keller Williams Metropolitan and Cross Creek Ranch resident since 2012, agrees there is a small-town ambiance within the community. She also says access to strong schools within the Katy Independent School District and the Lamar Consolidated Independent School District is another reason why her clients choose to purchase in Cross Creek Ranch. “Schools are why my family moved here,” said Wong, who sold 23 homes in Cross Creek Ranch last year and was the community’s top-selling Realtor. “The schools are very good and with so many on-site, parents don’t have to worry about their children being transferred.” Both Hofer and Wong say they frequently see their buyers out and about in the community, whether at an event or at the grocery store. And both say many of their clients have become friends. “One client even asked me to step in for Grandparents Day at their child’s school when her parents were unable to attend,” said Hofer, who is often seen with her pup Hannah who likes to ride in her stroller. They each also agree there are other advantages to living and working in the same community other than being able to offer their customers a unique insight into life in Cross Creek Ranch. “It’s easy for me to go and take photos of a client’s home that is under construction and send them updates on the progress,” Wong said. Hofer likes the commute. “One time, my model home was directly across the street from where I live, so the commute was really nothing to complain about,” she joked. Hofer also says she often takes work home. “My husband is a broker with RE/MAX Grand, so he is one of the resident Realtors here and sells in the community often,” she said. “We talk a lot about Cross Creek Ranch and selling homes here. It’s such a big part of our life.” |
