Schools almost out, which means it’s time for summer camp! Camps are great ways to allow your kids to explore their interests and make new friends. Not sure where to start? The Richmond area is full of possibilities. Here are some of our residents’ favorites. Challenger Soccer Camp You’ll score a goal with your soccer-loving kids when you sign them up for Challenger Sports' most popular soccer camp program. The half-day camp focuses on skill development and core techniques through freestyle soccer, small-sided games and a camp World Cup. Code Ninjas There are so many ways for kids to embrace computers, and Code Ninjas knows them all. These weekly day camps are available online and in person. Kids will learn to code, make animated short films, become a YouTuber, build their own websites and more. EnRich Summer Camp Kids will flip for this exciting day camp. Parents can sign them up by the day, week or month. Each day, kids will learn gymnastics, play games, do crafts, play outside and more. Campers should pack a lunch Monday through Thursday. Friday is Pizza Day! Katy Sports & Fitness Open up a whole new fitness world to your kids at a lifestyle camp that focuses on exercise, nutrition and sportsmanship. Children will learn exercise routines and play a variety of sports. Kid’s College Send your kids to college for the summer! Kids can explore their interests with more than 120 classes focused on language arts, math, science and engineering, the arts, special studies, sports, dance and more! Computer classes available for an extra fee. Pine Cove Day Camp Pine Grove is not your average Bible studies camp. Kids will have fun with the bungee trampoline, climbing wall, laser tag and slip-and-slide while also learning more about the Gospel. Language Kids World – Sugar Land Kids will learn Spanish through a series of themed weeks such as "Animal Planet," "Camp Picasso," "Adventures in Spain" and "Camp Safari." Extended immersion is available for an additional $45 per week. School of Rock Kids can jam at School of Rock day camps. Camps focus on different genres, including rock, indie, metal and punk. Rock 101 teaches kids new to rock the basics and a songwriting camp is available to those who love to scribble their own tunes. Fort Bend Family YMCA Explore the performing arts, science, technology, fine arts and sports at Discovery Camp! USA Ninja Challenge Are your children ready to become America’s next ninja champions? Get them started at this fun camp that combines jumping, climbing, swinging, traversing and floor exercise to navigate obstacle courses. |
