Riverstone - It’s All A’s for Riverstone SchoolsOctober 05, 2021
Riverstone is known for its exceptional schools, so it’s no surprise that in the most recent Niche.com rankings, each school serving Riverstone students received the coveted grade of “A”. Even better, each school ranked in the top 10 percent of elementaries, middle schools and high schools in Texas. Our on-site school, Sullivan Elementary, had a stellar report card, ranking No. 228 out of the 4,614 elementary schools included in the report. This puts the school among the top 5 percent of elementary schools in Texas. The report also noted the school’s teachers, ranking them among the top 10 percent of public elementary school teachers in Texas. The other three elementary schools serving Riverstone also are well within the top 10 percent of elementaries in Texas. Austin Parkway landed at No. 275 among the 4,614 elementary schools. Commonwealth Elementary was close behind at No. 289. Settlers Way Elementary ranked No. 339. Not to be outdone by the elementary schools, the middle schools serving Riverstone also performed well. Fort Settlement placed at No. 132 out of the 2,223 Texas middle schools included in the report. First Colony Middle School came in at No. 222. Elkins High School ranked No. 180 in the list of 1,773 high schools on the report. It’s also noted for its work to prepare students for college, ranking No. 85 out of 1,436 Texas schools considered for the “Best College Prep Public High Schools” report. Nationally, Elkins ranked No. 975 out of 17,219 high schools on the list of the Best College Prep Public High Schools. In its annual rankings, Niche strives to give those researching schools a full snapshot of a school — not just providing an overall ranking, but also detailing how a school performs academically and on the sports field, the strength of the administration and how diverse a school is. They pull data from a number of sources, including the U.S. Department of Education, the National Center of Education Statistics, student and parent surveys and more. Some adjustments were made in the 2022 report to account for modifications schools had to make during the pandemic. |
