Harvest Green - Halloween Happenings Near Harvest GreenOctober 20, 2021
The spookiest time of the year is upon us with thrills and chills to be found all over the Richmond area. At Harvest Green, our residents will be trekking through our annual Trail of Treats. Beyond our entrance they indulge in creepy museums, perfect pumpkin patch photos and more. Check them out and have a Happy Halloween! “Gourd-geous” Museums Grosstopia Science intersects with spooky, gooey and slimy at the museum this month. Each week will celebrate monsters, concoctions and bats. October 19-23 features Creepy Concoctions including potion mixing, slime making, handmade bat wings and build-your-own mad scientist wig activities. October 26-30 offers opportunities to make zombie masks and Halloween-themed windsocks. October 30 features a magic show with magician Jamie Salinas. Set out on a trick-or-treat quest from 4 to 6 p.m. on weekdays and all day on Saturdays. Miss Ivy’s Spooktacular Halloween Party Visit the museum for a day of sweet treats, tours of the “boo-tiful” 1883 Moore Mansion, crafts, yard games and more. Spooktacular Events Halloween Fest Ride the Halloween train all the way to fun. From 10 a.m.-4 p.m., families can enjoy games and Halloween Garden rides. From 5 p.m.-8 p.m., things get a little spooky with a creepy caboose, Tower 17 of Terror, a haunted garden, trick-or-treating, spooky stories and more. BOO-BERG Fright Night A night of not-so-scary fun awaits girls and boys in Rosenburg. The evening starts with a trunk-or-treat and food trucks followed by a showing of Hocus Pocus under the stars at 7 p.m. River Pointe Church Fall Festival Come for fall fun and bring a friend. There will be pumpkin decorating, face painting, root beer floats, hayrides, fall food favorites and more. Family-friendly costumes are encouraged. Halloween Town Don a costume and head to Constellation Felid for more fun than you can shake a pumpkin at. Enjoy sweet treats, inflatable slides, rides, vendors, a Halloween-themed movie and more. A costume contest will be help with prizes for adults, kids and groups of two or more people. Contest entrance fee is $5. Concession stands will be open to feed monsters of all ages. #SquashGoals Blessington Farms Get pumpkins and more at this picturesque pumpkin patch. Admission includes hayrides, train rides, slides, fossil digs, mazes, animal encounters and more. Dewberry Farm Fall Fun Pick your pumpkin, give it a name then explore the corn maze, rides, pig races and 40 more attractions. When the sun goes down, Spooky Hollow lights up (at least parts of it do). The trail offers three levels of fright — friendly, freaky or frightful — for fun for all ages. West Lake Prep Pumpkin Patch Pumpkins galore are available for all of your decorating needs. If You've Got It, Haunt It Texas Zombie Hunt Not a haunted house exactly but an opportunity to fulfill all your Walking Dead dreams. Guests are carried through a city filled with zombies where they must use paintball guns filled with killing serum to eliminate as many walking dead as possible. Creepy Hollow Haunted House Named one of the "Top Haunted Attractions" in the nation by the Haunted Attraction Association, this Rosharon venue offers more than a few frights. Three haunted houses await your inspection including The Scare Factory, Dark Woods and Pitch Black. There are also shows, escape rooms, food, music and more. |
