Veranda - Construction Starts on Veranda Dog Park

There’s a “pawsome” new amenity coming to Veranda later this year.

Canine Cove is sure to be “pup-ular” with dog owners, with leash-free expanses for both large and small dogs, as well as a pond where small and big dogs can wade in separately. Dog drinking fountains keep playful pups hydrated, and if they get a little too messy running around, pet parents can wash them off at the dog wash station.

Owners will love the park’s shady areas and seating, a perfect perch to chat with other dog owners and watch their pups play. People parents will find something at the park as well, with a new playground stationed next to the dog park.

Now under construction and expected to open by the end of the year, Canine Cove is part of a growing slate of amenities Veranda residents enjoy. Opened last fall is Wild Blue Park, offering two tennis courts, an event lawn with festoon lights, lawn games, a BBQ pit and covered pavilion with picnic tables. The Cottage House anchors a resort-style pool with slides and an in-the-water climbing wall. Inside is a fitness center, massage suite, games and meeting space. Playgrounds can be found throughout the community and an event lawn plays host to frequent resident events all planned by Veranda’s on-site Director of Fun.
