Grand Central Park - We Reached for the Stars and Took Some Home

Grand Central Park reached for the stars and took a few home — including “Best Overall Community More Than 600 Acres” — during the recent Texas Star Awards.

Hosted by the Texas Association of Builders, the annual competition is the only statewide event honoring the outstanding work of developers, builders, remodelers, architects, designers, sales professionals, marketing professionals and construction professionals across Texas and surrounding areas.

The judges were enticed by our commitment to preserving Grand Central Park’s natural surroundings, exciting amenities and bustling commercial districts.

A significant portion of our 2,046 acres is a lush forest with trails rivaling those found in state parks. The trails wind along streams and serene lakes. We call it The Grandeur, and it is easily accessible via the pathed pathways traversing our neighborhoods. Residents can take kayaks out for the day on Paddle Lake, catch and release fish on Deer Lake and watch wildlife from the edges of Grand Lake.

Seamlessly integrated into the natural elements is The Lake House. Our stunning 7,600-square-foot amenity complex overlooks Paddle Lake. Residents can enjoy the view while exercising in the state-of-the art fitness center. A 1,700-square-foot event space can be used for community or private events. Residents spend much of their time relaxing on the spacious two-tiered patio.

Rather than having residents drive to nearby shopping and dining centers, we launched an ambitious project to bring those conveniences to them. The result is a thriving commercial district with stores, restaurants, offices and a college of osteopathic medicine. A Hyatt Regency Hotel and Convention center broke ground this year.

The judges aren’t the only ones impressed. We’ve attracted an impressive line-up of builders as well as wonderful residents.

“Best Overall Community” wasn’t the only trophy we won. Our marketing department took home a slew of awards including Best Print Ad, Best Promotional Video, Digital Marketing Campaign and Best Direct Mail Piece.
