Sienna - Sienna Schools — Choices + Convenience!August 22, 2022
Sienna is a “Perfect Showcase” of homes, amenities, lifestyle and convenience. And there’s nothing more convenient for parents in the community than having onsite schools. In fact, Sienna has seven Fort Bend ISD schools located within its borders, making it easy for students to walk or bike to school. There are four elementary schools — Leonetti Elementary, Schiff Elementary, Scanlan Oaks Elementary and Sienna Crossing Elementary. Older children attend Baines Middle School, Thornton Middle School and Ridge Point High School. Walkways under Sienna Parkway make it easy for children to walk or ride their bikes to school. And with schools so close, it’s easy for parents to get involved, whether through a Parent-Teacher Organization, volunteering at the school or simply attending fundraising events. Stay-at-home and work-from-home parents are relieved to know they can quickly get to school if their little one forgot lunch or is feeling ill. And as Sienna grows, so does the number of onsite schools. Opening next year in Sienna is Ferguson Elementary. Almeta Crawford High School also is slated to open for the 2023-24 school year. Although not technically in Sienna, the high school is located near Sienna’s FM 521 entrance, so will be just a quick hop for parents and students. Sienna’s education story doesn’t end with public schools, however. Parents who want to get a jumpstart on kindergarten or prefer a private school education for their children also have choices. There are a number of preschools open in Sienna, both religious and secular. Sienna Montessori provides early education, adventure camp and summer camp programs. Divine Savior Academy in Sienna has classes for pre-K through 10th grade. Tutoring programs for math, reading and music can also be found in Sienna. And although it isn’t a school, the Sienna Branch of the Fort Bend County Library System has programs to instill a love of reading and learning from a young age. A child’s education is not “one-size-fits-all.” Luckily for Sienna residents, there are plenty of choices! |
