We Take Cool Summertime Fun Seriously

With nearly 40 pools within our communities, we know that a pool serves as more than a summer playground. They are places where parents teach their children to swim, where diligent workers go to relax and regroup before facing Monday rigors, where young swimmers hold their breath underwater for the first time, where residents go for low-impact exercise and where bonds are made with other neighbors.

And while all of our pools share the common denominator of having water, that is often where the similarity ends. Here is just a small sampling of the pools in Johnson communities and how they ride the wave of being extraordinary.

Sienna

Our largest community, the 10,800-acre Sienna in Missouri City boasts five pools — two so immense we call them waterparks. Club Sienna has a lap pool, two tower slides and a zero-entry beach where children can wade to an in-the-water play structure and stand under the big bucket that dumps water once it fills. The Resort at Sienna Springs also has a slide tower and beach-entry lagoon, as well as ample space for water play. The Sawmill Lake Club pool is a spa-like lakeside retreat ideal for relaxing. The Brushy Lake pool and Steep Bank pool have shallow depths for young children. Brushy Lake also has a lap pool.

Cross Creek Ranch

Residents of Cross Creek Ranch in Fulshear have their choice of pools. Adventure Island is well-named, with a 140-foot slide and Splash-n-Spray park. There are also dedicated lap lanes and tanning shelves. More lap lanes can be found at Flewellen Creek and the pool at Greenthread Park offers slides built into a hillside as well as numerous lounging areas. Those living in Bonterra at Cross Creek Ranch, an active adult community, have exclusive access to their own neighborhood pool and amenity center.

Jordan Ranch

It’s triple the summertime fun in Jordan Ranch in Fulshear where residents can swim at the pool, play at the splash pad or float down the lazy river. The water’s movement in the lazy river stays at an easy but consistent pace thanks to its own propulsion system, keeping the fun and relaxation flowing nonstop.

Veranda

Veranda in Richmond sports a resort pool with something a little different — a climbing wall! Residents can test their climbing skill without fear of falling because the wall rises straight out of the water. There are also slides, a basketball hoop, water volleyball and a kids’ splash zone.

Viridian

Why have one pool when you can have six? Our Arlington community has pools for all ages, including a fenced toddler pool, a 25-foot conversation pool with a uniquely designed sand bottom, an infinity pool and a lap pool. The Lakeview Event & Conference Center has an elegantly designed pool as does the Magnolia Lifestyle Center, which is available to residents of the 55+ community.

Riverstone

Our Fort Bend community of Riverstone is home to another waterpark, The Club at Riverstone. This immense pool features zones for relaxing — including an island of shaded loungers — a zero-entry pool for young swimmers, towering slides and in-the-water features to test your balance. Beyond The Club at Riverstone, residents can choose to keep cool at either pools at Creekstone Village or the Riverstone Boulevard Recreation Center.

Woodforest

Residents in Woodforest have a playground of water fun at Forest Island. Kids love racing down the tower slides. There is an island where swimmers can have friendly water gun wars as well as in-the-water logs they can attempt to walk over. The large freeform pool also has a shallow area where the littlest swimmers can sit and splash. Nearby is a fitness pool for lap swimming, water aerobics and relaxing on in-the-water loungers. Just a short stroll away is Lily Pad spray park, which also boasts a pavilion for birthday parties. Residents of Bonterra at Woodforest enjoy their own resort pool that is exclusive to the 55-plus neighborhood.
