Cross Creek West - Cross Creek West, Cross Creek Ranch Donate $24,000 to Fort Bend Charities

March 13, 2024

We love giving back to the Fulshear community, so we were pleased to partner with sister community Cross Creek Ranch to raise a total of $24,000 during our Give Back, Build Hope campaign.

Now in its fourth year, the campaign makes a monetary donation for each home sold during a specified timeframe to local selected charities. Last year’s charities were Abigail’s Place, Family Hope, Fort Bend PAWS and Reining Strength, with each receiving $3,000 from each community. A collective total of 92 homes sold in Cross Creek Ranch and Cross Creek West during the campaign, which spanned November and December.

“This contribution allows us to continue offering equine-assisted services to our clients, enhancing their physical, social, emotional and cognitive well-being,” said Heather Hernandez Sedillo, Executive Director of Reining Strength. “This type of generosity directly contributes to these life-changing experiences not only for our clients but also for their families.”

Reining Strength Therapeutic Horsemanship serves adults and children ages 2 and older who have physical, cognitive, social or emotional needs by providing equine-assisted services.

Richmond-based Abigail’s Place serves single mothers facing episodic homelessness, providing transitional housing and helping clients toward self-sufficiency. The charity’s transitional housing includes on-site shelter units, rental assistance, short-term hotel stays and security deposits.

Family Hope specifically helps those in northern Fort Bend County with food and assistance with medical, rent and utility costs. Since 2020, Cross Creek Ranch has partnered with Family Hope to help them provide food for those in need.

Fort Bend PAWS (Pets Are Worth Saving) raises funds and awareness for Fort Bend County Animal Services to help them maintain a high save rate as well as provide heartworm treatment and preventative and low-cost spay and neuter events.

“All of these communities are essential to the fabric of Fort Bend County, making a significant difference in the lives of those who live here,” said Rob Bamford, Senior Vice President and General Manager for Cross Creek Ranch and Cross Creek West. “With this round of donations, we’ve now given $99,000 to local charities through the Give Back, Build Hope campaign.”

The communities also encouraged people to donate things such as office supplies, canned pet food, toiletries, non-perishable foods, paper towels, gift cards and other items requested by the charities.

We thank everyone who purchased a new home in our communities last year. You are what makes Cross Creek West such a special place to live.
