Grand Central Park - Pickleball is Coming to Grand Central Park

We’re always trying to find more ways to keep our residents active and having fun. What’s the latest? Pickleball!

We’re adding two pickleball courts at The Lake House. The courts will be gated and lighted. That means residents can play morning, noon and night! Construction is slated to start this summer, and we hope to have them finished by the end of the year.

If you don’t know much about pickleball, here’s the skinny. Pickleball combines elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis. It is played on a badminton-sized court with a modified tennis net, using paddles and a plastic ball with holes, similar to a wiffle ball. The game can be played as singles, but it’s more fun to play as doubles. It’s low-impact, fun for all ages, and a great way to exercise.
