Sienna - Houston’s First Baptist Gets Underway With Expansion

Sienna is home to nine places of worship, and one of them is about to get a big upgrade.

Houston’s First Baptist Church is tripling the size of its worship center, which will be able to accommodate 600 when the expansion opens later this summer.

Campus Pastor Malcolm Marshall said in this article that the church was growing along with Sienna’s population, and they had to add a service to meet the needs of their congregation.

In addition to an expanded 9,300-square-foot worship center, there will also be multiple Bible study classrooms, a large foyer with dedicated event space, an outdoor green and rooms for worship and other activities. The 74,000-square-foot addition will also have 14 preschool rooms, a large worship space, a nursing mothers’ room and an indoor playground.

The Sienna campus of Houston’s First Baptist Church is located at 4309 Sienna Parkway. Services are held every Sunday at 8:30 a.m., 9:45 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.
