Johnson Development Wins Multiple Trophies during Texas Star Awards

July 17, 2024

On a night that celebrated the best in residential real estate across the state of Texas, Johnson Development walked away with Texas Association of Builders Star Awards for people, communities and marketing.

Now in its final phase of development, Woodforest in Montgomery County won Best Overall Community (More Than 600 Acres). The 3,000-acre master-planned community boasts all the components of a hometown — a variety of homes, parks, pools, sports fields, a robust retail sector, a school, church, medical offices and more. Fewer than 400 opportunities remain for a new home in Woodforest, which is home to more than 13,000 people.

Amanda Burke was awarded Marketing Professional of the Year at the July 13 event. Amanda joined the Johnson Development team in 2014 and helped with both Woodforest and Grand Central Park before her promotion to Marketing Director in 2022. In addition to currently marketing Grand Central Park, Amanda is also overseeing marketing of Grange, our new community opening next year.

Amanda also took home two awards for Grand Central Park marketing — Best Special Event for last year’s Sip & Shop which drew more than 2,500 people to the community and Best Digital Marketing Campaign for Picture Perfect Holidays, a campaign that invited people to take photos in front of a community holiday backdrop and upload them to the Grand Central Park website for a chance to win $500.

Finally, the new Johnson Development Services community of Nolina is already winning awards, taking home the prize for Best Billboard. The “Somewhere Between Town & Country” billboard introduced the new Georgetown community.

Johnson Development was also a finalist in three other categories — Woodforest for Best Community Amenity and Best Email Message and Trinity Falls for Best Special Event. Johnson Development Services was a finalist for Best Email Message and Best Website for Nolina.

According to the Texas Association of Builders, there were more than 850 entries in this year’s Star Awards. We are honored to again win multiple accolades among this group of highly skilled real estate professionals.
