Kresston - Our Sister Community is Tops in Texas!

Our sister community of Woodforest recently won the title of Best Overall Community (More Than 600 Acres) in the Texas Association of Builders Star Awards. With the same development team, much of Kresston will mirror the successful path forged in Woodforest.

The prestigious best-of award comes as Woodforest is in final stages of development and as Kresston readies for home sales to begin early next year. In proclaiming the winner, judges considered a variety of development aspects, including a mix of land uses, access to the natural environment, a variety of housing choices, pedestrian-friendly access and the use of land in an efficient and innovative manner.

Woodforest scores on each point and Kresston will, too. The six builders announced earlier this year — Chesmar Homes, David Weekley Homes, Highland Homes, Lennar, Perry Homes and Westin Homes — will offer a variety of homes that will appeal to first-time and move-up home buyers.

Kresston’s first phase will feature two districts, Heartland District and Stableton District, each boasting a distinct character and an appealing mix of neighborhood parks within walking distance of homes, nature areas and a variety of homes. Also breaking ground this year and coming with Phase 1 lot delivery is the first phase of Legends Pointe amenity and The Boot House Welcome Center.

Adding to Kresston’s community ambiance will be an onsite elementary school, allowing students to walk and ride their bikes to school and parents to easily engage with teachers and staff. Magnolia ISD closed on a 15.7-acre tract of land in Kresston earlier this year.

We’re excited for Woodforest to be named Best Overall Community in Texas and can’t wait to see what’s ahead for Kresston!
