Woodforest - More Good Eats Incoming

August 09, 2024

You can never have too much of a good thing. In the case of Pine Market, that means restaurants. From sweet treats to gourmet meals, our restaurants offer options that will tickle any tummy — and there are about to be many more. Six new eateries will be opening later this year. Here’s a look at what’s coming.

First up is Los Cucos Mexican Café. Opening next month, the family-owned chain is a favorite due to authentic food, festive drinks and affordable pricing. In addition to the appetizers, Los Cucos is known for a wide-ranging menu that includes fajitas, tacos, burritos, carne asada, birria, mixed grill platters and more. The bar menu is nothing short of inventive. Choose from a list of enticing margaritas, sangrias, palomas and more. The restaurant also offers lunch and happy hour specials.

Two restaurants offering sweet treats are slated to open in the fall. 16 Handles allows you to choose your own frozen yogurt adventures with a rotating buffet of soft-serve flavors including cake batter and butter beer. Vegan soft-serve from Oatly is also available. You can dress up your selection with more than 50 toppings and sauces. The eatery also offers a variety of frozen novelties such as cakes, take-home pints and Dō gourmet edible cookie dough.

Texas’ favorite Shipley Do-Nuts will feature 60 kinds of glazed, iced, jelly-filled and cake doughnuts (but our hearts will always belong to the classic glazed). Almost as famous as its donuts are Shipley’s kolaches which come in a variety of flavors and even a breakfast sandwich variety. And don’t forget to snag a cup of hot coffee to wash it all down with.

Fans of Nona's Italian Grill won’t have to travel to The Woodlands because a second location is slated to open here next month. The menu features authentic homemade North Italian cuisine such as spaghetti and meatballs and lasagna, as well as lamb, chicken, beef and seafood dishes. An extensive wine list and handcrafted cocktails pair nicely with the dishes. We’re looking forward to the tableside hot spinach salad and Bananas Foster.

Two Asian-inspired eateries also have plans to make their home in Pine Market. The eclectic Kafe Boba will serve up boba tea and bahn mi sandwiches as well as beignets and coffee. Pho Saigon Oldie will offer authentic Vietnamese cuisine, including noodle soup filled with a variety of meats.

We hope you’re hungry because you are going to want to try them all!
