Houston Realtors Name Johnson Development Top Developer

Local real estate agents are the true experts in our industry, which makes it all the more meaningful to be recognized once again as "Developer of the Year" in Houston Agents Magazine's Agents' Choice Awards.

This marks our second consecutive win and fourth overall, with votes cast over several weeks each summer. The award recognizes the best of the best in the region, highlighting top agents, developers, and communities.

This year has been particularly dynamic for us, with the launch of two new communities — Jubilee in Hockley and Nolina in Georgetown. Additionally, several other projects are in progress, including Kresston in Magnolia, Grange in Katy, and an exciting new community underway in Fort Bend County.

Beyond new communities, we’ve been busy with our existing communities, as well. Sienna in Missouri City and Cross Creek Ranch and Jordan Ranch in Fulshear were ranked earlier this summer among the nation’s 50 top-selling master-planned communities so far this year. In addition, both of our Dallas-Fort Worth communities — Viridian in Arlington and Trinity Falls in McKinney — are among the 10 top-selling communities in North Texas, as ranked by the Dallas Business Journal.

Realtors factor heavily into the success of our communities, first lending their expertise in focus groups that give advice on how each new community is introduced. And as development goes on, our Realtor relations teams work closely with local agents to keep them up-to-date on the communities’ progress, new amenities, new builders and other news. This collaboration has led to a more than 80 percent Realtor participation rate in new home sales for Johnson Development communities.
