What better way to celebrate sweater weather than spending a crisp fall day enjoying the many Bay Area festivals and events found near Edgewater? From harvest festivals to concerts in the park, there’s something for everyone.

Harvest Festival
10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12
Free

Kick off the fall festivities with the annual Harvest Festival! The League City event takes place at League Park and includes hayrides, pumpkin carving and a costume contest for kids. Stroll through artisan and craft vendor booths to get a head start on your holiday shopping while enjoying delicious food truck fare.

Sunset Bazaar
Begins at dusk, Saturday, Oct. 19
Free

Browse more than 60 booths filled to the brim with unique items offered for sale by local artists, makers and bakers. Kids are encouraged to come in costumes for “Tent or Treat.” Live music will add to the festive atmosphere.

Galaxy Frights
10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday & Sunday, Oct. 19-20 & Oct. 26-27
$29.95 - $32.95 registration required

Launch your Halloween celebration into the stratosphere at Space Center Houston! Trick-or-treat through the exhibits, enjoy special activities, show off your Halloween costumes and take advantage of spooky backdrops for Instagram-worthy pictures.

Southern Shanks Band Concert
1-5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20

Bring your chair or blanket and settle in for an afternoon of great tunes with the Southern Shanks Band. Don’t forget a picnic lunch!

Music in the Historic District
7-9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25
Free

Local artist Tod Anthony headlines a concert under the stars featuring more than a dozen performers across various genres, including bluegrass, country, folk and blues. Warm drinks and snacks will be available for purchase from local vendors, creating a cozy atmosphere as you enjoy live performances.

Fall Festival at Clear Lake Recreation Center
5-10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26

The Clear Lake Recreation Center is hosting this year’s annual Boo Dash Fun Run followed by a fabulous fall festival featuring train rides, a petting zoo, pony rides, games and a pumpkin patch. Don’t miss the trunk-or-treating and haunted house for some spooky fun

Nutcracker in the Park
9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30
Free

League City kicks off the holiday season with an enchanting day dedicated to shopping, ballet and Christmas trees in the Historic District. The all-day market features local artisans and vendors along with photo opportunities and holiday activities for kids, including ballet lessons with the Sugar Plum Fairy. The event culminates in a Christmas tree lighting at sunset.
