Construction Begins on Joy Hub Amenity Center in Jubilee

Jubilee - Construction Begins on Joy Hub Amenity Center in Jubilee

November 18, 2024

Construction is underway on the Joy Hub, a nearly 5-acre recreation complex in Jubilee designed to foster connection.

The Joy Hub will be built in two phases, with the first phase offering an 11,000-square-foot pool, a 2,000-square-foot splash pad, a co-working lounge and a 7,200-square-foot event lawn. A poolside pop-up pantry where vendors can sell items and a food truck station are also in the first phase, which is expected to open summer 2025.

“Jubilee is built around the concept of wellness, with zones specific to connection, exploration, inspiration and reflection found throughout the community,” said Jubilee Vice President and General Manager June Tang. “Each of our larger amenities will be designed to embrace one of these concepts, and The Joy Hub will be all about connection. It will be a space where residents can congregate, relax, work, and connect, whether it be with their family members or other community residents.”

Details on the second phase event hall are still under development, but Tang said the features will complement phase one amenities. Construction plans will be announced at a later date. SWA Group and Studio Red are part of the design team for both phases.Jubilee features 30 acres devoted to parks, with several amenity spaces already open in the community. Also planned is a dog park, sports courts, fitness center and community garden. A “Director of Joy” plans more than 75 resident events annually. In all, there are 270 acres of green space and waterways in the 1,622-acre Hockley community.

Home sales in Jubilee started early this year. Builders Chesmar Homes, Coventry Homes, David Weekley Homes, Highland Homes, Newmark Homes, Perry Homes, Tri Pointe Homes and Westin Homes have opened eight model homes in the community that showcase floor plans base priced from the $320,000s to the $700,000s. Homes are built with a variety of standard wellness features often considered as upgrades in other communities.
