Cross Creek West - Sky High for Kids Provides Hope for FamiliesNovember 19, 2024
Having a child diagnosed with cancer is devastating. Parents need support; children need ways to forget their illness for a time. That’s where Sky High for Kids comes in. This non-profit is dedicated to funding innovative research, providing essential comfort and granting the heartfelt wishes of children facing life-threatening illnesses. Through their relentless efforts, Sky High for Kids has become a beacon of hope for families. The non-profit began as a dream fueled by compassion and determination. Brittany Hebert Franklin, deeply moved by a personal encounter with the devastating impact of childhood cancer, founded the organization to make a tangible difference in the lives of affected families. Her vision was to create a community of support and to raise the necessary funds for battling this relentless disease. What started as a small initiative quickly blossomed into a powerful movement, driven by Brittany’s unwavering dedication and the collective strength of a compassionate community. Going beyond just fundraising, Sky High for Kids builds a network of support, offering resources and fostering hope for families who often feel overwhelmed and isolated. By partnering with leading hospitals and research centers, Sky High for Kids ensures that the most advanced treatments and care options are available to young patients. One key area of focus is enhancing their support systems for families. Recognizing the emotional and psychological toll of childhood cancer, Sky High for Kids aims to expand their counseling and wellness programs, ensuring every family has access to comprehensive care. They are also working on developing more community outreach initiatives to foster stronger connections and provide resources to those in need. You can help Sky High for Kids during the Cross Creek West Give Back, Build Hope campaign. If you purchase a new home in our community this month or in December, we will make a monetary donation to Sky High for Kids, Reining Strength and Fort Bend PAWS. Even if you aren’t planning to purchase a new home, you can provide much-needed items to any of these charities. Simply purchase an item on the organization’s wish list and drop it off at the Cross Creek Ranch Welcome Center, 6450 Cross Creek Bend Lane, in our sister community. As an added bonus, if you purchase your new home in November or December you will be entered into a drawing for $3,000. Help Sky High for Kids end childhood cancer — purchase your new home today. |
