Fulshear Ranks as One of Area’s Hottest Markets

Cross Creek West - Fulshear Ranks as One of Area’s Hottest Markets

November 22, 2024

The Houston housing market continues to be one of the nation’s best, but people in the know are seeing a shift in the habits of home buyers as they continue to look farther away from the city center.

In fact, the Houston Association of Realtors recently ranked the “hottest” market areas based on third-quarter home sales and nine out of the top 10 were in the suburbs. Ranked at No. 6 on the list is greater Fulshear.

We’re not surprised.

The association specifically lists Cross Creek West as a reason for the region’s success, which saw sales up 46 percent from the second quarter and an average sales price of $489,212, which was down 3 percent from the previous quarter.

Homes in Cross Creek West start in the $400,000s, with Perry Homes and Village Builders both offering floor plans in this range. Newmark Homes and Westin Homes offer home designs from the $420,000s and $430,000s, respectively. Buyers looking for larger homes can chat with representatives from Perry Homes and Westin Homes — which also offer floor plans for 55-foot homesites — as well as Village Builders and Highland Homes, which have designs for 60-foot lots. A multitude of options — including multi-generational suites — allow buyers to customize their homes to meet their specific needs.

But it’s not just the variety of home designs that have prompted more than 200 people to purchase a home in Cross Creek West this year — it’s also the lifestyle, with generous onsite amenities and more available at sister community Cross Creek Ranch. The Waterhole Amenity Center in Cross Creek West offers a lap pool, resort-style pool, fitness center, in-the-water play park, tennis and pickleball courts, a playground, event lawn and event room. Next-door amenities at Cross Creek Ranch include 35 parks, three pools, 400+ acres of lakes for kayaking and catch-and-release fishing, 60+ miles of trails, wildlife habitats, a dog park, sports courts and more. A dedicated lifestyle team plans engaging resident events for both communities.

Another bonus of moving into a suburban new-home community is access to newer schools. Young residents of Cross Creek West already attend schools several schools that are less than 10 years old. Haygood Elementary will open in Cross Creek West next year, and Lamar Consolidated Independent School District has purchased an additional 800 acres within Cross Creek West for future onsite schools.
