Sienna - Missouri City: One of the ‘Best Small Cities in America’November 27, 2024
Missouri City is once again ranked among the nation’s best small cities. It’s no wonder with an easy location to shopping, dining, entertainment and employment in Houston as well as a small-town ambiance that gives it undeniable appeal. WalletHub analyzed more than 1,300 small towns with populations of 25,000 to 100,000 for its most recent survey of the Best Small Cities to Live in America, with Missouri City ranking in the 57th percentile. The rankings were based on 45 indicators grouped into five categories: affordability, economic health, education and health, quality of life and safety. This isn’t Missouri City’s only accolade this year — SmartAsset named it No. 77 on its list of the “Most Livable Small Cities” in the nation. The study also considered affordability, average commute times, and the number of local entertainment, restaurants and healthcare offerings. Adding to the area’s livability is the city’s generous park system that encompasses 515 acres of parks and an additional 500 acres yet to be developed. Sienna residents have access to all of the area’s parks, plus an additional 100+ acres of parks and playgroundslocated in the community. From the zipline at the Sawmill Lake Club playground to the whimsical play structures at Heritage Park, there are ample places to explore the outdoors in Sienna. Summers are spent chilling at one of the community’s five pools — including some big enough to be called water parks. The Sienna Racquet Club caters to those who enjoy tennis and pickleball, while the 160-acre Camp Sienna offers fields for baseball and soccer as well as a basketball court, volleyball court, batting cages, trails, a playground, viewing stands and concessions. Public and private onsite schools, grocery stores, medical offices for people and pets, restaurants and more give Sienna its own small-town ambiance. And with homes priced from the low $300,000s to more than $1 million, there’s something for everyone. With so much to offer, Sienna itself is like a small town. And being surrounded by one of the nation’s best small towns makes life in Sienna even better. |
