Realtors Help Kids Sleep Better

Realtors know the value of a good night’s sleep, so it wasn’t a surprise when so many joined the Johnson Development North Realtor Relations team to help Sleep in Heavenly Peace provide beds for children who may have never slept on a mattress before.

Fifty Realtors gave up their weekend to spend the day sanding, hammering and sawing to build nearly 100 twin beds for Montgomery County children. In addition, Johnson Development donated $2,000 to the organization.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a non-profit whose mission is to ensure no child sleeps on the floor. It is their belief that a bed is a basic need for the proper physical, emotional and mental support that a child needs. No kit beds are allowed. They are all built from scratch. Once built, they are equipped with donated mattresses, pillows and bedding then delivered to families.

The JDC Realtor Relations team hosts volunteer events throughout the year to give Realtors opportunities to help local charities continue their good work.
